Many countries have websites that list the supplied policies of candidates for election. Most governments publicise such policies online and/or on paper.

The Electoral Office sends registered voters lists of candidates and "candidate statements".

A website - https://policy.nz/about - lists candidates' statements in more detail, where it can get the information by emailing the candidates. Viewers who enter their residential addresses are directed to specific pages for the relevant elections, e.g "Mayor of Whanganui", "Manawatū District Council Feilding General Ward". candidates' names and statements are given, with separate sections for their policies on half a dozen specific issues. Viewers are invited to"like" particular policies or candidates, so as to create a favourites list, but there seems to be no way to do that.
