New Zealand
Wikipedia has a page called:
(For the North Island city, see Palmerston North.)

Palmerston is a town near the east coast of Otago between Oamaru and Dunedin.

The "Pigroot" highway, S.H.85, runs inland from Palmerston to Dunback and the Maniototo.

A few kilometres east along S.H.1 is the coastal town of Moeraki with the world-famous Moeraki Boulders.

East Otago High School[]

Former name Palmerston District High School.

Rail facilities[]

Twentieth-century Palmerston served as a refreshment stop for the daily long-distance train service and had the ubiquitous set of sidings, goods shed, and turntable. The turntable was eventually moved to Feilding, where it is looked after by the Feilding and District Steam Rail Society.
