New Zealand

Terrorism in New Zealand is very rare.

French Government[]

A prominent example was the blowing up of a ship in the Waitemata Harbour by agents of the Government of France.

21st century[]

The New Zealand Government passed legislation aimed at strengthening powers against terrorism after "9/11". Civil rights activists complained that it would be used internally and were told that they were being paranoid.

In late 2007 it was proved that they were not. Ruatoki will not forget easily how its peaceful residents were terrorised by the New Zealand Police.
